Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RiskIt iOS app and any associated websites or services (the “App”) operated by RiskIt (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the App.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 17 years old to use the App.
• You may not use the App if you are barred from receiving services under U.S., E.U., or other applicable laws.
• You are responsible for ensuring use of the App is legal in your jurisdiction.

2. The App is a simulated casino — not real gambling

RiskIt is a social casino. The chips, virtual currency, vault contents, business income, leaderboard standings, and every other in-game value have no real-world monetary value. They:

• cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, transferred, redeemed for prizes, or exchanged for goods or services;
• are not refundable in any form outside Apple’s standard App Store refund process;
• are not "winnings" for tax or legal purposes;
• do not constitute gambling, wagering, or betting under any jurisdiction’s real-money gambling regulations.

RiskIt does not offer real-money gambling. Practice or simulated play in RiskIt does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

3. Your account

You may use the App as a guest or by signing in with Apple, Google, or email/password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. You may have only one account at a time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for any of the following, with or without notice:

• Cheating, exploiting bugs, automating gameplay, or modifying the App.
• Using offensive usernames, harassment, or attempting to impersonate another player.
• Attempting to circumvent ad-reward rate limits, daily caps, or other anti-abuse systems.
• Violating Apple's App Store guidelines or any applicable law.

4. In-app purchases

The App may sell virtual currency (chip packs) and gameplay upgrades (Vault Cap Expanders) through Apple’s in-app purchase system. All purchases:

• are processed by Apple under Apple’s payment terms;
• are final and non-refundable through us — refund requests go directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com;
• grant only virtual content with no real-world value;
• do not increase your chance of winning real money (because there is no real money in the App).

Permanent upgrades (e.g., cap-tier IAPs) are tied to your authenticated account and persist across reinstalls when signed in with the same account.

5. Advertising

The App shows rewarded video ads delivered by Google AdMob. Watching an ad is always opt-in. Daily caps, per-placement caps, and cooldowns are enforced server- and client-side to prevent abuse. Attempting to bypass these systems is grounds for account termination.

6. User content

You may choose a username and avatar that will appear publicly on leaderboards and friend lists. By submitting a username or avatar, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute it within the App and on our public leaderboards.

You may not select a username that:

• impersonates another person or entity;
• contains profanity, hate speech, threats, or sexually explicit content;
• infringes a trademark or copyright;
• promotes illegal activity.

We reserve the right to remove or rename accounts that violate the above without notice.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App;
• use the App to send spam, malware, or unsolicited messages;
• access another user’s account without authorization;
• scrape, automate, or otherwise programmatically interact with the App;
• use the App on a jailbroken or otherwise compromised device.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR USD $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Apple End User License Agreement

If you downloaded the App from Apple’s App Store, you also agree to Apple’s standard End User License Agreement. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections 2, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, except where prohibited by your local law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced inside the App and via the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
